PPPS

Welcome to Pikes Peak Practical Shooters!

Pikes Peak Practical Shooters (PPPS) is a practical shooting club affiliated with United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). We use the Pueblo West Sportsmans Association Gun Club in Pueblo West, Colorado which is located approximately 17 miles North and West of Pueblo or approximately 94 miles South of Denver.

Our matches are held on the second Sunday of each month. Check our schedule for the exact dates and times.

We welcome new shooters!!! New shooters must attend a free safety and orientation session at 8:00 AM on match day. In addition, new shooters get to shoot their first match for free. If you are new to practical shooting and have questions on equipment or the sport in general, please give us a call.

If you are an experienced practical shooter, we are here to help you as well. Traveling on business and want to ship ammo, forgot your holster, or have a broken gun?…give us a call, we’ll try to help you out.

PPPS provides an incredible opportunity to those interested in practical shooting. If you are bored with the normal range routine, here's your opportunity to learn how to really shoot a handgun. Our monthly matches are filled with fun fast-paced practical shooting action. We shoot six stages (five field courses plus a USPSA classifier). We have lots of high quality props including many moving targets and stages that will challenge every shooter.

The weather in Pueblo is often about 10 degrees warmer than the weather along the Denver Metro corridor. This is beneficial in the winter as Denver may have snow, but we are often clear and pleasant. However, during the summer months it gets hot in Pueblo and there is no running water at the range so, if you are planning a summer visit, please bring enough water.

HOPE TO SEE YOU AT A MATCH!
